Entitled kings and queens.

Without subjects
They cannot rule.
Pledge your allegiance to Earth;
Swear loyalty to its inhabitants.
Live and die and live again
In rhythm to its cycles.

Come along now, we are many.
We are protectors who stand guard
Between the ravenous and the mute.
Fixers who clean up after the callous,
Lovers that kiss away the tears.
We are doers, helpers, inventors;
Amidst a tsunami of extinction and despair
We build roads to salvation and solace. 

Remember;
We built this civilisation
Through caring for the weak.

The wealth vaulted
Behind cruelty and greed,
The keepers who spin
Tall tales of self-made billions

Over brilliance.
